Student Newsroom Codes of Ethics

Based on what you heard in class yesterday about professional codes of ethics, what points do you think should definitely go in your student newsroom code? Each group should bullet points in comments, below.

-Always be sympathetic during and after a tragedy
-Avoid rumors about relationships
-NEVER plagiarize
-Refuse special treatment
-Identify sources as accurately as possible

Code of Ethics:
1: You can't wrongly accuse anybody
2. No derogatory terms
3. No rumors only facts
4. Only use pictures with permission
5. Avoid bias in news

2) Never show nepotism.

3) Always accredit your sources.

4) Be versatile
